They answer emergency and non-emergency calls, coordinate officers in the field, track critical information, and help keep every response moving. Dispatcher applicants receive position-specific testing and screening instructions from DCPD recruiting.

These benefits and insurance rates apply to eligible dispatcher and other non-sworn City employees—not to commissioned police officers covered by the FOP agreement.

Vacation leave

Accrual is 8 hours per month at 1–5 years, 10 hours per month at 5–10 years, and 12 hours per month at 10–15 years. Employees with 16+ years receive 8 additional hours for each year of service.

Sick leave

Employees accrue 8 hours per month up to an 800-hour maximum. The summary provides payment for unused sick leave at retirement and one-half-rate payment for other separations after five years.

12 paid holidays

The 2026 summary lists New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Washington’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Education incentive pay

Annual incentives are $600 for 30 semester hours, $1,200 for an associate degree, $1,800 for a bachelor’s degree, and $2,400 for a master’s degree when the field-of-employment requirements are met.

Tuition assistance

The 2026 summary provides reimbursement for tuition and books for education in the employee’s field of employment.

Longevity pay

Beginning at five years, eligible employees receive $100 for each year of service, paid annually in the month after the employee’s hire-month anniversary.

Municipal retirement

Eligible permanent non-police and non-fire employees are automatically enrolled in the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund. Employees contribute 8% of base pay and the City contributes 18% of base pay.

City-paid life insurance

The City of Del City pays for $60,000 in employee life-insurance coverage under the 2026 benefit summary.
